We all have to die. So why is everyone so calm about it? Death and the questions that come with it have always been a big issue in my life. Sometimes, I wish they weren't. But they are, and I can't change it. So, here are my two favourite reads.
1. The December Project by Sara Davidson. In this book Sara interviews Rav Zalman Schachter, founder of the Jewish Renewal Movement. They are both wise and entertaining.
2. Creatures of a Day and other Tales of Psychotherapy by Irvin Yalom. In this stunning collection of stories, renowned psychiatrist Irvin D. Yalom describes his patients' struggles -- as well as his own --to come to terms with the two great challenges of existence: how to have a meaningful life yet reckon with its inevitable end.
